days before/after these dates based on space

Travel Details:
Average temperature during the day is 89 degrees
and 69 degrees at night. Conference attire is
business casual.
Parking at Gaylord is $18/ day for self-parking
and $25/day for valet parking. Guests with a
handicapped placard or license plate may use
valet parking for the self-parking price. |

The Gaylord is also the NACo Conference Center
and Hotel.
If you are staying for NACo, you will need to
make a separate reservation for the dates:
Sunday 7/26 - Wednesday 7/29.
Online registration and housing is now
available. After June 19th, NACo cannot
guarantee hotel room availability or rates.

1:30 pm - 4:00 pm: Strategic Communications:
“Promoting Your Office to the
Public,” a plan to help your
office demonstrate the value of the work you do. This
will cover the key elements for developing this
plan: identifying your office's communication goals,
targeting relevant audiences, developing and shaping key
messages, and options for delivering those messages
persistently and effectively.

Saturday,
July 25th
8:45 am - 11:30 am:
Workplace Harassment will
focus on sexual harassment, exploring the dynamics and
impact of, as well as the vicarious responsibility of
employers. It will also provide considerations for
preventing harassment. Participants will have an
opportunity to explore various scenarios geared toward
increasing awareness and understanding about what types
of situations might be construed as harassment.

Leadership Habit/Developing Leadership
in county government is a challenge when working with so
many other elected officials or appointed department
heads. This session will provide some ways to enhance
your leadership skills and to empower you and your staff
to become more proactive than reactive in today’s work
environment.
